Do I need an account?
You can read this homepage, pricing, and legal information without an account. Sign in to browse the marketplace, list items, book rentals, and message other members.
How much does a rental cost?
The owner sets the daily price. A 5% platform fee and a 10% damage deposit are added to the rental subtotal. You see the total before paying.
When is my booking confirmed?
A reservation is confirmed only after payment has been verified. Returning from checkout alone does not confirm a booking.
How do pickup and returns work?
Coordinate pickup and return through private messages. Both the owner and renter can document the item with secure before-and-after condition photos. The end date is the return date and is not charged.
Can owners and renters rate each other?
Yes. After a completed, verified rental, the owner can rate the renter and the renter can rate the owner. Reviews are tied to the actual booking.
What if I need to cancel?
Review the cancellation policy before booking. Cancelling a paid booking creates a refund-review request; a refund is not automatic. See the booking terms for details.
Are items insured by NeighborShare?
No. NeighborShare does not provide insurance or inspect items. Check the item, discuss its use with the owner, and consider your own insurance needs.
Will my account still be here when I return?
Sign in with the same account to access your saved profile, listings, bookings, and messages. Signing out ends your session; it does not delete your account.
Can I use another language or currency?
Language choices include partial translations with English fallbacks. Currency conversions are dated estimates; checkout charges remain in USD.
